Krista Woods

Krista Woods, M.S.W., LCSW (formerly McCoy), is a trauma-trained therapist with over 25 years experience working in leadership and direct service in adoption, foster care, mental health and managed care.  She has served 2 terms on the IL Adoption Advisory Council, and served on the Board of Directors of 2 national adoption-focused organizations that provide services and advocacy to adoptees, birth parents, foster/adoptive parents and families.   Krista’s tenure in child welfare and social services includes providing expert witness testimony, clinical and administrative leadership, program development and serving as a subject matter expert on mental health in managed care.  She has been a conference presenter and trainer for as many years on topics of cultural competency, ethics, foster care, adoption, mental illness and crisis intervention. She is the founder and President of Integrity Clinical Consulting and Training (ICCT), which provides therapy and clinical services to children, teens, adults and families in the Chicago southern suburbs.  ICCT also provides clinical consultation and training across the US.Krista is also an outspoken advocate for all members of the adoption/foster constellation, and herself is a biracial, transracial adoptee from foster care.  You can find out more about Krista at
